Sandoval Lake & Macaws | A Symphony of Colors from Mirror-Surface Lake to Clay Licks
4 Days / 3 Nights | A Symphony of Colors from Mirror-Surface Lake to Clay Licks
A train journey through one of the world's most beautiful landscapes, uncovering the secrets of the Inca city with an expert guide and marveling at unique views. Complete your experience with a stroll through the picturesque town of Aguas Calientes, nestled within the Vilcabamba batholith and its majestic green mountains. An unforgettable trip awaits you!
The tour begins early with a transfer from Cusco to Ollantaytambo in the early morning, usually around 3:00 a.m. From there, a 2-hour train ride awaits us to Aguas Calientes. Once there, we'll have time for breakfast or to explore the town before boarding the bus to Machu Picchu, enjoying spectacular views of Aguas Calientes along the way.
At Machu Picchu, we offer a 2.5-hour guided tour of its main attractions, such as the Guardhouse, the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Condor, and others. After the tour, you will have free time to explore and take photos on your own before boarding the bus back down to Aguas Calientes.
Once in Aguas Calientes, you can have lunch or take a walk before taking the train back to Ollantaytambo and continuing the final leg to Cusco by car.
The tour ends between 8 and 11 p.m. depending on the final purchase time.
